Financial Affairs Unit

About the Financial Affairs Unit

This unit is responsible for organizing financial operations, purchases, and custody management, as well as receiving and distributing office equipment and supplies within the College of Nursing. It also coordinates with relevant entities to ensure smooth financial and procurement processes.

Financial Affairs Unit Responsibilities

  • Apply the regulations and policies of the units affiliated with financial affairs.
  • Handle the college’s financial operations, monitor advances, and follow up on their repayment.
  • Receive and distribute office equipment and supplies to the units and members of the college.
  • Coordinate with the university’s central warehouses on all matters related to the college’s storage needs.
  • Prepare the college’s budget and identify needs for workshops, committees, and events held at the college.
  • Request financial advances for the college and follow up on their settlement.
  • Compile invoices for purchases related to departments that were funded from the college budget for workshops and events, and submit them for payment.
  • Assess the needs of departments for consumable office equipment and devices, submit procurement requests, distribute items according to needs, and follow up on purchase orders.
  • Assign and manage custody items for staff, write off damaged items, and follow up on their status.
  • Inventory the college’s warehouses, inspect returned equipment, and record and report them.
  • Handle all procurement activities for the college.
  • Prepare the terms of reference, specifications, and contracts for tenders related to the college.
