Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program at the College of Nursing, King Saud University, is designed in accordance with the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Professional Performance, ensuring alignment with internationally recognized best practices in nursing education and leadership.
The program emphasizes developing advanced nursing knowledge and professional competencies across multiple domains, including:
- Ethics: Promoting integrity, accountability, and adherence to ethical standards in nursing practice.

Admission Requirements for the MSN Program
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (full-time study) from King Saud University or another recognized institution, with a minimum GPA of Good (2.75/5) or equivalent.
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (full-time study) and a GPA of 2/5 or equivalent may also be accepted, provided they hold a higher diploma in nursing or a related health specialty with a minimum GPA of Very Good (3.75/5) or equivalent.
Note: Applicants must contact the department beforehand to confirm whether their specialization is considered a related health specialty before applying through the online admission portal. - A minimum score of 4.0 in IELTS Academic or equivalent.
- Professional classification from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Completion of the internship training period.
- Passing the written exam administered by the department with a minimum score of 50%.
- At least one (1) year of professional experience in the field of specialization.
