About the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program
The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program at the College of Nursing at King Saud University is one of the first programs to offer a bachelor's degree in midwifery in the Kingdom. It began in 2021. By 2025, two cohorts of students had graduated with a bachelor's degree in midwifery.
Note: The program is open to female students only.
Program Duration
Four years (semester system) including eight levels, plus a one-year internship program.
Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program Plan
The program includes 40 courses, averaging 133 credit hours, equivalent to 178 actual hours. The total program hours over five years is 2,670 hours.
- 13 university-required courses, including two elective courses.
- 7 co-required courses with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
- 20 specialized courses required for the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program.
