Due to the massive shortage of doctoral holders at the national level and the urgent need to qualified national nursing staff to contribute to the study of causes, propose appropriate solutions to nursing problems in the health care system in the Kingdom, and to help Saudi nurses with a master's degree to continue their postgraduate studies to fill this shortage. Therefore, the university approved the request of the college to start a PhD program in nursing on 24/8/1437 AH to enhance the role of nursing and participate in overcoming the difficulties facing nursing specialization at the national level. The program aims to prepare scientists with scientific knowledge to discovered, expanded, and contribute to the advancement of various nursing sciences and practices, which will reflect on the expansion of nursing specialties to align with global nursing specialties.
