It specializes in meeting the departments’ needs for teaching assistants and ensuring their scholarship to prestigious universities with outstanding global rankings, in order to achieve a high level of future performance for faculty members. The unit works directly with the academic departments on all matters related to these responsibilities.
Objectives of the Unit of Teaching Assistants and Scholarship Affairs
- Contributing to the improvement of the scientific and professional qualifications of teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students.
- Enhancing the academic and professional quality of teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students by encouraging them to pursue higher studies.
- Creating and maintaining a database for teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students in the college.
- Coordinating with the internal committees of the departments to support teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students in academic departments, thereby facilitating the unit’s tasks.
- Establishing a mechanism for developing and following up on teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students in coordination with academic departments.
- Contributing to overcoming academic and professional obstacles faced by teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students.
- Connecting teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students with resources available at the college and university to support them and enable them to benefit from workshops and training programs.
- Providing teaching assistants, lecturers, and scholarship students with information on available psychological and social support resources at the college and university.
- Collaborating with academic departments to facilitate the scholarship process of teaching assistants and lecturers and to meet their needs.
