About the Clinical Training and Internship Unit
A unit under the Vice Deanship for Academic and Educational Affairs, responsible for overseeing the internship program and organizing the clinical training for training courses. This unit serves as a vital link between the college and the training sites.
Clinical Training and Internship Unit Responsibilities
- Prepare the internship program and review/update the internship handbook.
- Identify expected graduating students, determine available options for them, and record their preferences.
- Communicate with training sites and submit student lists to schedule training periods and locations (for the internship program/practical training for courses).
- Supervise student attendance and participation in training programs and ensure continuous follow-up.
- Address challenges faced by students in training sites, in collaboration with the respective sites.
- Manage disciplinary and behavioral issues related to internship students.
- Complete internship program procedures for students and issue related documents.
- Organize orientation activities for the internship program and the summer volunteer program.
- Maintain continuous collaboration with training sites on activities related to the unit.
- Submit quarterly reports on the unit’s achievements to the Vice Deanship for Academic and Educational Affairs.
