Last October 10, 2016, the College of Nursing joined the celebration on the “World Mental Health Day”.  This celebration was facilitated by the dynamic faculty members of Mental Health Department, primarily led by Prof. Dr. Elham Fayadh, T. Mofida Albarrak, T. Ibtesam Mohammed Alqahtani, and T. Sabah Alsharanian. The activity centers on the theme “Psychological First Aid”.  The Level 7 students of female section prepared various exhibits at King Saud University lobby. The exhibits focuses on myriad of challenges on mental health which the society is facing today. The half day activity provides the faculty and the students the opportunity to open up a new horizon in the awareness on mental health issues around the world. Learning the basic principles of psychological first aid also help the students on how to provide adequate support to people suffering from emotional disturbances.
