Risk Management Unit

Risk Management Unit (CoN -RMU)

 

It is the unit responsible for following up on procedures and identifying risks in various fields so that the College of Nursing enjoys a safe, sound and healthy educational environment, as well as continuous communication with relevant authorities to deal with the current and future risks surrounding the College.

Leadership in risk management and providing a safe academic environment at the College of Nursing.

 

The Mission

 

Create a secure academic environment by fostering a culture of security awareness and promoting systematic sustainability to deal with current and future risks.

 

Objectives

 

1.             advising the college administration on how to best protect against future risks and in line with the university’s strategic plans.

 

2.             Prepare, implement, and update the risk management plan periodically.

 

3.             Spread a culture of risk management among college affiliates and academic community.

 

4.             Prepare training programs for the staff of the college, in coordination with the relevant entities, regarding risks and how to deal with them.

 

5.             Enhancing the awareness of the students and staff of the college on the necessity of adherence to the rules, regulations, instructions, and rules of behavior and ethics within the college.

 

6.             Periodic assessment of the academic environment to identify risks, causative factors, and their consequences

 

7.             Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement contingency plans and rapid response initiatives in emergencies.

 

8.             Create a safe, healthy, and sound environment for college employees and students in to achieve the college’s goals.

 

9.             Prepare the annual report of the Risk Management Unit.

 

Tasks of the Risk Management Unit:

 

1.             Preparing an integrated risk management plan based on the strategic plan of the college and university.

 

2.             Identify, classify, and manage the risks to which the college’s academic environment is exposed, and evaluate and monitor them on a periodic basis.

 

3.             Preparing training programs for college employees to spread the culture of risk management.

 

4.             Monitor and evaluate the risk management mechanisms applied at the college and prepare periodic reports for the unit.

 

5.             Determine the mechanisms and tools required to control risks.

 

6.             Preparing and updating a record of the various risks to which the college is exposed.

 

7.             Preparing a documented guide to the risk management policy and procedures in accordance with the university’s risk management.

 

8.             Review and evaluate the performance and practices of the Risk Management Unit in pursuit of continuous development and improvement.

 

9.             Seeking the assistance of specialists from inside and outside the university to implement all procedures related to analyzing and managing risks of various types.

 

10.     Follow up on the implementation of risk management requirements and determine the tasks and responsibilities assigned to each member/department/unit of the college.
