The Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at King Saud University plays a vital role as a fundamental pillar of the nursing specialties in the college.

The methodology of the department lies in laying the basic pillars in teaching nursing science at the university level by providing a scientific material that is compatible with modern concepts and knowledge of nursing and developing scientific and clinical skills to prepare students with passion, enthusiasm and motivation towards aspiration and continuous learning and to acquire skills to provide comprehensive nursing care for various specialties of adult nursing by providing a scientific environment with diverse and advanced learning experiences in multiple fields through undergraduate programs, which suits the needs of the market Work, while conducting scientific research in accordance with the approved research plan.

The department is characterized by the presence of distinguished faculty members with experience in various disciplines of nursing sciences who represent a strong source of knowledge and guidance for students, as their diverse research experiences constitute a valuable addition to the educational process. The department includes 43 specialized faculty members (1 professor, 5 associate professors, 15 assistant professors, 11 lecturers and 11 teaching assistants), who are distinguished by the diversity of research interests and all of them are graduates of prestigious universities.
