About Maternal and Child Health Nursing Department
The Department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing was established when the Department of Nursing at the College of Applied Medical Sciences was transformed into an independent college in accordance with Royal Order No. 7/B/1551 dated 1/8/1425 AH. It was the main department of the four departments in the college.
The goals and philosophy of the department aim to achieve, and desire to achieve, the goals and philosophy of the college and university. It provides students with specific competencies related to childhealth nursing, nursing maternity and midwifery. Also, responsible for teaching the specializations of pediatric nursing, maternity nursing, and nursing midwifery at the master’s level.
In addition, the department works to develop research related to maternity and childhood health nursing-related issues in this field through distinguished and experienced faculty members in various nursing science specializations. The distinguished faculty members contribute to enriching the educational process by guiding students and providing guidance and scientific advice, in addition to their participation in various research and studies, as their diverse research experiences contribute to enriching the educational process and improving the quality of education and research in this vital field.
