About the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program

The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program prepares competent and caring midwifery professionals who can meet the diverse health needs of women. The program focuses on developing essential skills and competencies aligned with national and international midwifery standards. Students learn and apply concepts such as women and family-centered care, normal physiological labor and birth, cultural safety, midwifery partnership, and health promotion. They acquire communication skills to work effectively with women, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

1. General Criteria for the Admission Conditions for Graduate Programs at King Saud University

a) The applicant obtained a master's degree from an institution that is recognized by the ministry of education with very good grade and rating of (3.75 out of 5) or equivalent

b) Provide two recommendations for the application

About the PHD program

Due to the massive shortage of doctoral holders at the national level and the urgent need to qualified national nursing staff to contribute to the study of causes, propose appropriate solutions to nursing problems in the health care system in the Kingdom, and to help Saudi nurses with a master's degree to continue their postgraduate studies to fill this shortage.

About Maternal and Child Health Nursing Department

The Department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing was established when the Department of Nursing at the College of Applied Medical Sciences was transformed into an independent college in accordance with Royal Order No. 7/B/1551 dated 1/8/1425 AH. It was the main department of the four departments in the college.

DEPARTMENT OF NURSING ADMINISTRATION AND EDUCATIONEDIT

Nursing Administration and Education Department was established with the issuance of the Royal Decree to transform the Nursing Department in the College of Applied Medical Sciences at King Saud University into an independent college, pursuant to Royal Decree No. 7/B/1551 dated 8/1/1425 AH. This department is one of the four departments included in the college. The department extends its goals and philosophy from the college and university goals and philosophy. The department, in partnership with the other departments, teaches undergraduate courses in Nursing Sciences.
