The International Nursing Insights (INI) Journal serves as a dynamic platform for sharing the latest research and developments in the field of nursing. With a focus on advancing evidence-based practices, education, and policy, the journal fosters collaboration and the exchange of knowledge among nursing professionals worldwide.

Supported by King Saud University’s College of Nursing, INI is committed to contributing to the ongoing evolution of nursing practices and healthcare delivery.

Scope of the Journal

The International Nursing Insights (INI) Journal is dedicated to advancing evidence-based nursing practices, education, and policy-making on a global scale. It welcomes original research, systematic reviews, case studies, and scholarly discussions on key topics, including nursing practice, education, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Additionally, the journal explores current challenges and emerging issues in nursing and midwifery, with the goal of enhancing the quality of nursing care and fostering interdisciplinary approaches to healthcare.

King Saud University (KSU), established in 1957, is Saudi Arabia’s first university and a leading institution in higher education, research, and innovation. The university plays a key role in advancing knowledge, scientific research, and healthcare education, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

The College of Nursing at King Saud University (KSU-CON), founded in 1976, is a pioneer in nursing education and research in the Kingdom. The college offers high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate programs and is the first institution in Saudi Arabia to offer a PhD in Nursing, reinforcing its leadership in nursing scholarship and research.

KSU-CON’s programs are accredited by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) and internationally recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The college is actively engaged in research, community service, and healthcare innovation, contributing to evidence-based nursing practice and health policy development.

As an affiliated society of the International Nursing Insights Journal, the College of Nursing is committed to promoting scholarly excellence, advancing nursing science, and supporting the professional development of nurses at national and international levels.

Author Guidelines

International Nursing Insights Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the College of Nursing, King Saud University. The journal aims to disseminate high-quality research and scholarly work in nursing and health sciences.

Editorial and Peer-Review Policy

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening for quality, originality, and relevance.
  • Suitable manuscripts are reviewed by independent expert reviewers using a double-blind peer-review process.
  • Editorial Board members are excluded from decision-making on manuscripts in which they are involved, ensuring transparency and impartiality.
  • Accepted articles are published online as Ahead of Print to ensure timely dissemination.

Appeals Process

Authors may appeal editorial decisions if there are valid scientific or procedural concerns. Appeals must be submitted to the journal office with a detailed justification. Each appeal is reviewed objectively, and the final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Publication Policies

Plagiarism Policy

The journal follows a strict anti-plagiarism policy. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. Proven cases of plagiarism may result in manuscript rejection or retraction, with notification to the relevant institutions.

Clinical Trial Registration

Clinical trials must be registered in a publicly accessible clinical trial registry. The registration number and registry details must be included in the manuscript.

Authorship and Contributions

  • Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the study design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
  • All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript.
  • A detailed author contribution statement is required, and one author must act as the guarantor of the work.

Conflicts of Interest and Funding Disclosure

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and clearly state all sources of funding. If no conflicts or funding exist, this should be explicitly declared.

Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts are submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system.
  • There are no fees for submission, processing, or publication.
  • Submissions not complying with journal guidelines may be returned for technical revision prior to peer review.

Authors must follow internationally recognized reporting guidelines, such as CONSORT, PRISMA, and STROBE, and use the journal’s official templates.

Research Ethics and Patient Privacy

  • All research involving humans or animals must have prior approval from an appropriate ethics committee.
  • Authors must ensure confidentiality and protect participants’ privacy in accordance with ICMJE guidelines.
  • Written informed consent is required where identifiable patient information is included.

Copyright and Publication Frequency

Copyright and Open Access: The journal provides open access to its published content. Authors retain copyright, and all published work may be freely read, downloaded, and shared with proper attribution.

Publication Frequency: International Nursing Insights Journal is published biannually and is available through the journal’s official website.
